Description:
Ortega's, one of the most famous Chimayo makers of New Mexico. They make rugs, vests, jackets, purses, pillows and so on. They exist since early 1900's and still do their thing. This Chimayo vest or waistcoat is not older than the 1960's and is made of 100% wool. Completely handwoven. It's in great condition, besides some minor signs of wear like discoloration. This garment looks amazing over your denim jacket and fits approximately like a size medium to large for men and is worn open. If you'd prefer to wear it closed, it's easy to add a concho button closure to the piece.
