US Air Force 1945 N-3 Snorkel Parka
Description:
During World War II, the U.S. Army developed the N-3 parka to be worn by soldiers in freezing temperatures. This parka design is mid-thigh length and typically constructed with a nylon outer shell and lining; the fit is loose in order to accommodate soldiers’ uniforms underneath. It includes a fur-trimmed hood that is lined with mouton for extra insulation and raglan sleeves. The garment has two bottom front pockets and two higher hand warmer pockets. It has a pocket with Crown zipper on the left sleeve and a main Talon zipper. The coat's waist can be tightened on the middle. The parka is in overall good condition for an item of over 80 years old, but definitely has overall signs of wear. The mouton in the hoodie also has a rip. Best suitable for a size medium to large.
